Monte Vista has gone 8-0-2 against Granada recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Monte Vista Mustangs will welcome the Granada Matadors at 6:30 p.m.

Monte Vista is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering De La Salle just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Mustangs haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Granada kept a clean sheet against Foothill on Thursday. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 2-0. Given the Matadors' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Falcons are ranked 513th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Granada's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matchups. As for Monte Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

Monte Vista beat Granada by a goal in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 2-1. Does Monte Vista have another victory up their sleeve, or will Granada turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
