Football Recap: Bastrop Takes a Loss

Bastrop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Carroll Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 122nd).

Bastrop's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Carroll, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Bastrop and Carroll will both be playing Sterlington the next time they take the field. The Rams will head out to face the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th, while the Bulldogs will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
