Basketball Recap: Ruskin Takes a Loss

Ruskin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Benton Cardinals 103-19. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 508th, while the Cardinals are ranked 16th).

Ruskin's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Benton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Ruskin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Benton, they will look to defend their home court on January 30th against Smithville at 7:00 p.m.
