Baseball Game Preview: Bensalem Fighting Owls vs. Pennsbury Falcons

For the second straight game, Bensalem will face off against Pennsbury. The Fighting Owls will welcome the Falcons at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bensalem is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Bensalem took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Pennsbury, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Fighting Owls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Falcons on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Fighting Owls have posted against the Falcons since May 6, 2021.

Bensalem got a great performance from Trevor Morris as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Morris has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ryan Strazz was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Bensalem's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pennsbury, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-3-1 record.
