Volleyball Recap: Maple Grove Comes Up Short

Maple Grove was the 3-0 winner over Wayzata when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crimson lost 3-0 to the Trojans on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Maple Grove saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jonathan He had 12 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for He.

Maple Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Wayzata, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

After both having extra time off, Maple Grove and Osseo will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Wayzata, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Spring Lake Park at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
