Basketball Recap: St. Regis Takes a Loss

If St. Regis was riding high fresh off their 56-32 takedown of Two Eagle River last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Regis Tigers fell 46-34 to the Valley Christian Eagles on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Valley Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Schneider, who posted 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Johnson, who went 6 for 13 en route to 12 points and seven boards.

St. Regis' record is now 4-4. As for Valley Christian, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10.

St. Regis has already played their next matchup (against Drummond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Valley Christian will square off against Flathead Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Flathead Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Valley Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
