Basketball Recap: Randolph-Henry Takes a Loss

If Randolph-Henry was feeling good fresh off their 82-20 takedown of Fuqua on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Randolph-Henry Statesmen were beaten by the Buckingham Knights 75-44 on Tuesday. The Statesmen were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in February.

Randolph-Henry's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Buckingham, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Randolph-Henry will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lunenburg Central at 7:00 p.m. Lunenburg Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Randolph-Henry likes a good challenge. As for Buckingham, they are taking a road trip to challenge Nottoway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buckingham has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three contests.
