Softball Game Preview: Waterloo Tigers vs. Wayne Eagles

The Waterloo Tigers will face off against the Wayne Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Waterloo will be strutting in after a victory while Wayne will be coming in after a loss.

While Waterloo's win against Newark wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Reds 8-6. The Tigers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Meanwhile, Wayne came up short against Midlakes on Monday, falling 9-2.

Myia Eskander spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Wayne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Celso, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Waterloo, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
