Baseball Recap: Lamar Consolidated Comes Up Short

Lamar Consolidated was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Industrial Cobras. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Lamar Consolidated saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Randall Sosnowski, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Sam Johnson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lamar Consolidated's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Industrial, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Lamar Consolidated will square off against Hitchcock at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Industrial, they will face off against Edna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
