Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Tessa Zalunardo stepped things up a notch to give Sierra the 'W'. Zalunardo rushed for 64 yards and one score on only six carries, and also threw for 31 yards and one TD. The performance marked the most rushing yards she has had since back in October of 2024.

Zalunardo and Sierra will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. The Timberwolves got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Mustangs thanks in part to Zalunardo: she rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 108 yards on nine of 13 attempts.
