Volleyball Recap: Northern Durham Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Northern Durham was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hillside on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell just short of the Riverside-Durham Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Northern Durham took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-20, 15-4.

Riverside-Durham can attribute much of their success to Liesl Rehder, who had seven digs and five aces. That's the most digs Rehder has posted over her last seven matchups.

Northern Durham has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Riverside-Durham, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Northern Durham nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
