Soccer Recap: Carolina Friends Find Success

Carolina Friends's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cristo Rey Research Triangle Bulls a 1-0 shutout. The Quakers' winning goal came courtesy of Kate Williams.

The victory got Carolina Friends back to even at 2-2. As for Cristo Rey Research Triangle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Friends will challenge Burlington Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cristo Rey Research Triangle, they will face off against The Burlington School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Burlington School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.4 goals per game this season.
