Volleyball Recap: Potlatch Takes a Loss

If Potlatch was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Prairie on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Loggers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Genesee Bulldogs on Monday. The Loggers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 23-25, 25-17.

Maddie Smith paced Potlatch's offense, picking up 13 kills. Smith got some help from Rylee Tucker and her 17 assists. Finally, Cadance Carlson kept Potlatch's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Potlatch's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Genesee, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Potlatch will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kendrick at 7:30 p.m. As for Genesee, they will head out to challenge St. John Bosco Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
