Basketball Recap: Becton Wildcats vs. American History Eagles

Becton was the 61-57 winner over American History when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Becton Wildcats took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the American History Eagles. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 11-7 in the first quarter.

Ah'Mad Woodard was his usual excellent self, putting up 32 points and five steals for American History. Those 32 points gave Woodard a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ihjamir Williams, who dropped a double-double on 13 rebounds and ten blocks.

Becton's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for American History, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Becton has already played their next match (against New Milford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. American History will be playing at home against Bard Early College at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
