Recap: Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils vs. Minersville Battlin' Miners
The Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 57-26 loss at the hands of Minersville. Shenandoah Valley has struggled against Minersville recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Minersville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lorenzo Yourey, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yourey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Kostishak, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Minersville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Shenandoah Valley will head out on the road to take on Nativity BVM at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Nativity BVM's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Shenandoah Valley has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road. Minersville will take on Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
