Softball Recap: Waynesfield-Goshen Comes Up Short

If Waynesfield-Goshen was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Kenton last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Riverdale Falcons by a score of 8-7 on Friday.

Rayne Oakes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Liberty Glaser, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Waynesfield-Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Riverdale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Waynesfield-Goshen will face off against Lima Senior at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Riverdale, they will take on Leipsic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
