Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Harrison Kremer and Crew Oetjen Lead Arete Prep to Victory

Arete Prep won the last time they faced Lincoln Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Arete Prep CHARGERS walked away with a 59-47 win over the Lincoln Prep Lightning. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the CHARGERS.

Arete Prep was led to victory by Crew Oetjen and Harrison Kremer. Oetjen went 6-for-8 on his way to 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Kremer went 6-for-15 to rack up 19 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Kremer's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Tolu Jolaogun was another key player, putting up nine points.

Lincoln Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Torey Williams, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards, and Lucky Singh, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Williams continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mark Cornell, who posted nine points.

Arete Prep's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Lincoln Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Arete Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-58 win against Leading Edge Academy - GEC on the 3rd. As for Lincoln Prep, they have also already played their next game, a 109-34 defeat against San Tan Charter on the 3rd.
