Volleyball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont suffered their biggest defeat since August 13, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Mooreville Troopers. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Troopers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Belmont was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mooreville work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22, 25-13.

Keiley Robinson paced Belmont's offense, picking up 25 kills. Robinson got some help from Carsen Bohannon and her 16 assists.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mooreville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belmont will be taking part in a tournament against Hatley at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mooreville, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Tupelo Christian Prep at 5:30 p.m.
