Felix Matos Has Career-Day on Friday
Starting off the list is Phillipsburg's Felix Matos, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Matos made three total tackles, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 92 yards.

Hillsborough was led to victory by Jackson Jankowicz, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Jankowicz rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards.
Jankowicz must have Bridgewater-Raritan's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Jankowicz last faced the Panthers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Big Game from Genovese As Phillipsburg Won 49-14
The second Phillipsburg player making an appearance here is Jett Genovese, and for good reason. He rushed for 83 yards on only six carries, and also threw for 111 yards while completing 75% of his passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 77 yards.
For the year, Genovese has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 133.5 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 24.5 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 54.17 rushing yards.
