Volleyball Recap: Waldron Takes a Loss

Waldron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Triton Central Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Waldron's offense was headlined by Maleah Williams and Ashlyn Ramsey, who picked up two kills apiece. Williams also shared the team's lead in assists with Lauren Strehle: they picked up two each. Strehle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Waldron's loss dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Triton Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-8.

Waldron didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against North Decatur on the 16th. As for Triton Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Morristown on the 11th.
