Baseball Recap: San Marin Comes Up Short

San Marin lost to Redwood back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell 6-2 to the Giants. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaden Brown was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. He is becoming a predictor of San Marin's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 4-2 (and 6-8 when he doesn't).

At the plate, San Marin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Baldino, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

San Marin's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Redwood, their win bumped their record up to 18-2-1.

While San Marin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
