Softball Recap: Martin Luther King Takes a Loss

After flying high against Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech two weeks ago, Martin Luther King came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Roxborough Wolves on Thursday, falling 15-5. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Martin Luther King's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Roxborough, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martin Luther King will face off against First Philadelphia Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roxborough, they will square off against West Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Speedboys have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.25 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
