Football Recap: Lakeview Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lakeview had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-7 to make it five. They took a blow against the Greenville Trojans, falling 47-14. The Sailors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.

Owen Reynolds threw for 91 yards and one touchdown on only six passes. On the ground, Michael Strohl rushed for 40 yards.

As for Greenville, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games.

Greenville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rudy Gentile led the charge by rushing for 101 yards and a pair of scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Cael Thurber, who threw for 100 yards and three TDs on only eight passes.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview will welcome Cochranton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sailors will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Greenville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Saegertown at 7:00 p.m.
