Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carter). They came out on top against the Maryville Christian Eagles by a score of 66-56 on Saturday.

Carter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marah Yeo, who posted 22 points. Yeo is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Emma Millington, who put up 14 points and four steals.

Carter's record is now 5-14. As for Maryville Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carter has already played their next game (against Cocke County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Maryville Christian will head out on the road to take on Mount Pisgah Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Pisgah Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Maryville Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
