It was a good run, but Union Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They were beaten by the Woodland Wolfpack 64-37. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Union Grove still got an impressive performance from Maegan Jenkins, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. De'Jah Webb was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

Woodland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedy Riley, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 20 points and three steals. Riley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michelle Nuckles, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points and three steals.

Union Grove's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Woodland, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Union Grove has already played their next matchup, a 66-47 loss against Jones County on the 4th. As for Woodland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-41 win against Eagle's Landing on the 4th.
