Johnstown had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Northville Falcons 6-5.

Brynn Williams made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Williams wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mia Iorio, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. Iorio is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Maddie Feehan also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Johnstown's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Northville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Looking ahead, Johnstown will head out on the road to challenge Galway at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northville, they will be playing at home against Hadley Luzerne at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
