Football Recap: Niles Notre Dame Find Success

Niles Notre Dame's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 win over the St. Charles East Fighting Saints. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Dons considering their 13-point performance the game before.

Niles Notre Dame has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two points across that stretch. As for St. Charles East, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Niles Notre Dame will head out on the road to face off against St. Laurence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Charles East, they will welcome Wheaton-Warrenville South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Fighting Saints' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
