Recap: Argos Dragons vs. Pioneer Panthers
The Argos Dragons were the 44-32 winner over the Pioneer Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Argos fell just short of Pioneer by a score of 49-46.
Argos' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Stults, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Richard, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Argos were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Argos now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Pioneer, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Argos will face off against Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Northfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. Pioneer and Frankfort will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
