Basketball Recap: Holton Wildcats vs. Hiawatha Red Hawks
Holton's game on Friday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hiawatha Red Hawks 47-44. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 55-40 victory the Red Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.
Holton can attribute much of their success to Luke Lassey, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Brayden Peek was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.
