Basketball Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

Palmetto suffered their closest defeat since November 22, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Belton-Honea Path Bears by a score of 37-35. The Mustangs have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Belton-Honea Path, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmetto will welcome Carolina Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Palmetto is facing Carolina Academy at the right time seeing as Carolina Academy is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Belton-Honea Path, they will challenge Greenville H at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville H is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
