South came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their game with ease, bagging an 81-43 win over the Indian Trail Hawks. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Hawks are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indian Trail lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jack Zeller, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 16 points and eight rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Fowler, who posted 11 points.

South's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Indian Trail, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Coming up, South is taking a road trip to face off against Milwaukee Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Indian Trail, they will host Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
