Volleyball Game Preview: Madison Cubs vs. New Albany Bulldogs

Madison is 0-8 against New Albany since October of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Cubs will take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Madison is headed out to face New Albany after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Cubs came out on top in a nail-biter against Batesville on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2.

Madison wouldn't go down easily and took Batesville into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, New Albany had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past North Harrison 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-16.

Madison better keep an eye on Kinley Bush. She was instrumental in New Albany's win, getting five aces and four digs.

Madison might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from New Albany in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Can the Cubs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
