Baseball Recap: Evansville Central Finds Home Field Redemption Against Evansville Reitz

There's no place like home for Evansville Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Evansville Reitz Panthers by a score of 5-1 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Wesley Reed and Devon DeJarnette did most of the damage at the plate: Reed got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI, while DeJarnette went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs DeJarnette has posted over his last six games.

Evansville Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Evansville Reitz, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.
