Football Game Preview: American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots vs. Bunn Wildcats

The American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots will challenge the Bunn Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, everything came up roses for American Leadership Academy-Johnston against Jordan-Matthews as the squad secured a 41-6 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.

It was another big night for Anthony Jimenez, who rushed for 228 yards and one touchdown while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Jimenez is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 139 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Ian Wands, who threw for 133 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Elijah Fulton was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 17 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Bunn never let their opponents score on Thursday. They snuck past Beddingfield with a 6-0 victory.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bunn, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.
