Softball Preview: Crane Cranes vs. Stanton Buffaloes

Crane is 0-9-1 against Stanton since February of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cranes will head out on the road to challenge the Buffaloes at 5:00 p.m. Crane has given up an average of 18.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crane is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 19-4 to Denver City.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stanton). They put the hurt on Compass Academy with a sharp 29-6 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Buffaloes, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Alessandra Glover was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisley Carby, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with five runs, four RBI, and one double.

Stanton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Crane's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Stanton, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-14-1.
