The Jaguars' defense stepped up to hand William Penn a 9-0 shutout. Appoquinimink's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Meanwhile, Sussex Academy came tearing into two weeks ago's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Sussex Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Laurel are ranked 37th).
