Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lutheran posted their closest victory since September 19th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the North Greene Spartans 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lutheran was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (70-64), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-20, 27-25.

Lutheran's victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-20. As for North Greene, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-15.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Lutheran will square off against Calvary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Greene, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Illinois School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m.
