Baseball Recap: Andover's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Andover won against Lawrence on Monday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Golden Warriors came out on top against the Beverly Panthers by a score of 10-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Zach Pawlowski looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Chris Jaillet was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Will Norris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

The victory (which was Andover's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Beverly, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Andover will venture away from home to take on Chelmsford at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Warriors 2.7, the Lions 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Beverly, they will host Saugus at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sachems' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
