Basketball Recap: Argonaut Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Argonaut couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 63-62 to the Alhambra Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Argonaut still got an impressive performance from Mitchell Mcmahan, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. The matchup was Mcmahan's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was JJ Lungren, who posted 19 points.

Argonaut's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points over those games. As for Alhambra, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-14.

Argonaut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alhambra, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-49 loss against International on the 8th.
