Sherman Oaks CES had won seven straight games and Daniel Truong did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Knights blew past the Lighthouse Christian Saints 42-14 for which the team can thank Truong, who rushed for 139 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending three passes in addition to snagging three interceptions.

Sherman Oaks CES didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Truong. Sherman Oaks CES got some further help from Nick Fuss: he made 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss) and defended two passes.

Sherman Oaks CES' victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Lighthouse Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Sherman Oaks CES will host East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lighthouse Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Hillcrest Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
