After flying high against New Creation Christian Academy last Friday, Community Christian came back down to earth. The Knights took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Augusta E Eagles on Friday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Community Christian still got an impressive performance from Fredrico Jones, who rushed for 40 yards and one TD, and also threw for 164 yards and one touchdown. Jones also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making five total tackles.

Even if they lost, Community Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. In that department, Nathan Casper was the leader with 2.5.

Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-2-1. As for Augusta E, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Community Christian will head out on the road to square off against Young Americans Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Isaiah Lee and Gabe Campbell. As for Augusta E, they will welcome David Emanuel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Augusta E will be up against David Emanuel Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.11 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
