Baseball Recap: Sun Valley Victorious

Sun Valley won the last time they faced Butler and things went their way on Friday too. The Sun Valley Spartans walked away with a 7-2 win over the Butler Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Connor Salerno tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Sun Valley got a big performance out of Jessen Copeland, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Copeland a new career-high in doubles (two). Dave Aguilar was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Sun Valley's record is now 2-0. As for Butler, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Sun Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Palisades at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butler, they will venture away from home to square off against Lake Norman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
