Basketball Recap: Stockdale Takes a Loss

Stockdale lost against Frontier on January 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stockdale Mustangs were outmatched by the Frontier Titans and fell 63-33. The Mustangs were down 53-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Zach Garnett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Frontier, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. What's more, Garnett also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nsongbeh Ginyui, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 10 points and three steals.

Stockdale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Frontier, they pushed their record up to 13-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Stockdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 44-42 win against Garces Memorial on the 30th. As for Frontier, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-47 victory against Liberty on the 30th.
