Baseball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss

Lakewood fell victim to Ralston Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Ralston Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Lakewood and Ralston Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Tigers will take on Arvada West at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (110 vs. 5). Meanwhile, Ralston Valley (ranked 57th) will meet Arapahoe (ranked sixth) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
