Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Fowler's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Fowler had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Western on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Fowler has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Western, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Coming up, Fowler will look to defend their home field on Friday against Carson City-Crystal at 1:00 p.m. Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
