Basketball Recap: McNairy Central Comes Up Short

McNairy Central was the 56-51 winner over Riverside when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The McNairy Central Bobcats lost to the Riverside Panthers at home by a 55-39 margin on Friday.

Riverside found their leader in sophomore Jack Cupples, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kutter Potts, who posted nine points and six boards.

McNairy Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Riverside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

McNairy Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 35-34 victory against Middleton on the 4th. As for Riverside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-42 loss against Bolivar Central on the 6th.
