North Central extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 19 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-18 in the process. They lost 16-2 to the Cheraw Braves. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Cheraw, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games.

For Cheraw's part, Nick Gordon was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Gordon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Terrence Blackmon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Coming up, North Central will welcome McBee at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cheraw, they are taking a road trip to challenge Darlington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
