It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but First Baptist had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They breezed past Southcrest Christian to the tune of 69-25. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 24 games by 27 points or more this season.

First Baptist found their leader in freshman Bella Jacobo-Redding, who went 8-for-18 on her way to 22 points along with eight steals and five assists. That's the most assists Jacobo-Redding has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolbie Gillispie, who had 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

First Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for Southcrest Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, First Baptist will challenge Christian Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4 points per game this season. Southcrest Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
