Volleyball Game Preview: Agoura Chargers vs. Newbury Park Panthers

Agoura hasn't had much luck against Newbury Park recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Agoura will look to defend their home court against Newbury Park at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Agoura didn't have quite enough to beat Thousand Oaks and fell 3-2.

Agoura took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 19-25, 25-11, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Newbury Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Thousand Oaks. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lancers since on Friday.

While Newbury Park had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 25-20.

Agoura's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Newbury Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
