Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Takes a Loss

They were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 37-36 to the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Monarchs earlier this season, when they won 49-39.

Valley Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-8 record this season. Archbishop Mitty has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Valley Christian and Archbishop Mitty are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Valley Christian will head out to challenge Archbishop Riordan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Archbishop Riordan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 games. As for Archbishop Mitty, they will challenge Menlo-Atherton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
